USA Wrestling coming to Carrier Mills Friday
The Mills Café and Tequilas is teaming up with USA Wrestling to hold a fund raiser for the Catskin Days in Carrier Mills this Friday evening. The wrestling bouts will be held in the Carrier Mills-Stonefort grade school multi-purpose room and begin at 8 p.m.
After the Catskin Days Festival was rained out last year, The Mills Café and Tequilas worked together with USA wrestling to present a fund raiser to allow the Catskin Days committee to recoup some of their expenses. After that very successful wrestling event, it appeared local wrestling fans would have to wait until the Springfest to see live wrestling locally. The fundraiser on Friday will provide an early and excitement packed preview of wrestling action.
"We are holding this as a new part of our usual fund raising activities," organizer Shawn Wilkins said. "Springfest and all of our other fundraising are geared to getting funds together for the Catskin Days Festival."
Friday night's wrestling event promises to be a real crowd pleaser with seven different matches scheduled, including a tag-team match and a championship bout. The tag-team match will be a contest between Shooting Impact and Team Canada. The main event championship match will feature Heath Hatton versus Thorn. The ever popular Steve O will be pitting his skills and strength against Adam Maddox.
The doors open shortly before 8 p.m. and tickets are $8.00 for children and $10 for adults. Advance tickets are available at the Carrier Mills Public Library during regular business hours. There will be a food and drink concession in the multi-purpose room and all those who enjoyed the food treats at last year's indoor wrestling extravaganza are encouraged to get there early and sample this year's selection.
Carrier Mills Catskin Days Committee, The Mills Café, Tequilas and USA Wrestling invite area wrestling fans of all ages to come to Carrier Mills Friday evening and enjoy some top notch live wrestling and scrumptious food treats.
