Gerald Dale 'Mickey' Walls
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Gerald Dale "Mickey" Walls, 73, of Baton Rouge, La., formerly of Harrisburg, passed away on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge.
"Mickey" was born on April 14, 1937, in Harrisburg to the late Oral and Marie (Davis) Walls. He was a United States Navy veteran and a member of the VFW in Baton Rouge. He was also a member of the Parkside Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, and a former member of Big Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
"Mickey" is survived by one son, Alan Walls of Houston, Texas, a daughter, Michele Brignac and husband Scott of Baton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren, Brittni and Elizabeth Walls of Houston, Texas, and Bradley, Jeffery, and Celia Brignac of Baton Rouge, La.; and one brother, Bob Walls and wife Jann of Mineral Wells, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles William "Spud" Walls and G. O. "Barney" Walls; and one sister, Winona Schroll.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Steve Nyberg will officiate; burial will follow in Big Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
