Rosa May Norris

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Rosa May Norris, 98, passed away at 7:32 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010.

She was born on Aug. 10, 1912, in Eminence, Ind., to Chancey and Flora Mae (Turner) Whicker.

On Oct. 13, 1933, she married a widower, Luther R. Norris, with three small children, Lowell, age 5, Marvin, age 4 and Betty, age 2. They were blessed with seven more children, Billy D., Luther R. Jr., Marjorie, Dorothy, Rose, David and Timothy.

She was a very dedicated Christian. Her acts of kindness will long be remembered by her family and many friends.

She is survived by Luther R. (Doris) Norris Jr. of Greenwood, Ind., Marjorie (David) Edmister of Eldorado, Dorothy (Bill) Guthrie of Eldorado, Rose (Earl) Rosenberg of St. Louis, Mo., David (Lisa) Norris of Gillette, Wyo. and Timothy Norris of Eldorado; a brother, John Whicker of Mesa, Ariz.; 29 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Thomas Whicker; her children, Lowell, Marvin, Betty and Billy; and one grandchild, Timothy Norris Jr.

Visitation will be at Watson Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Thursday prior to the funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010. Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. L.D. Jolly will officiate.
