Virginia 'Toots' Davis

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Virginia "Toots" Davis, 84, Mauseyville Road, Creal Springs, died 11:10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.

She was born on Feb. 17, 1926, in Williamson County to the late Fred and Rosa Thomas Moulton. On Aug. 24, 1946, she married Mont Davis Jr., and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2008.

She was a member of the Arnold View Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Mike) Richey of St. Peters, Mo.; a son, Larry (Judy) Davis of Creal Springs; five grandchildren, Jonathan (Melissa) Davis of Gallipolis, Ohio, Nancy (Jason) Niebrzydoski of St. Louis, Mo., Jenny (Jared) Bergmann of Vienna, Nathan Davis of Tucson, Ariz. and Natalie Davis of Tucson, Ariz.; four great-grandchildren, Margaret Belle Davis, Madaline Elizabeth Bergmann, Curtner Keith Bergmann and Logan Mont Davis; a sister, Fern Hankins of Stonefort; a sister-in-law, Ruth Moulton; numerous nieces and nephews; cousins, including Gloria Bradley; and an extended family of special caregivers and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jackie Wayne Davis; two sisters; and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery in Creal Springs.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the service time. At the request of the family, the casket will be closed.

The preferred choice of remembrance would be memorials to the Springhill Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
