OBITUARY: Jason Eric Gulley
Jason Eric Gulley, 47 of 725 Dorris Heights Road, Harrisburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery south of Harrisburg. Ray Wallace will officiate. He had a great love for pets so memorials may be made to the Angelina Foundation for Animal Welfare. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
He was born on Feb. 27, 1967, in Harrisburg, to the late Earl Wayne Gulley and Mary Alice (Fife) Winters.
He married the former Michelle N. Williams on May 14, 2003, and she survives.
Jason was previously employed by the Illinois Department of Corrections at the Illinois Youth Center in Harrisburg for 19 years. While working there he had served as past Vice President of Local No. 779 AFSCME.
He is survived by his wife: Michelle N. Gulley of Herrin; mother and stepfather: Mary Alice and Melvin Winters of Carrier Mills; daughters: Jessica Milligan and Megan Gulley; stepsister: Tracy (Steve) Mitchell of Carrier Mills; six grandchildren; several nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death his father: Earl Wayne Gulley and his beloved dogs "D" and "Baby."
He was a kind, generous and caring person and a friend to many. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and his beloved pet: "Moose."
