Ora D. Williams

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ora D. Williams, 87, a resident of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:23 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at her residence.

She was born September 26, 1923, in Marion to the late George and Juanita (Roberts) Baker. On November 13, 1949, she married James Edward Williams, who preceded her in death Aug. 8, 2002.

Ora was a retired elementary school teacher in the Galatia school system. She was a member of St. Stephen&#39;s Episcopal Church in Harrisburg and the Harrisburg Medical Center Auxiliary.

Surviving family members include her son, Ed and wife Debi Williams of Harrisburg; daughter-in-law, Jane Ann Williams; sister, Doris Casper of Detroit, Mich.; four grandchildren, Julie and husband Rick Lumpkin, Joseph Williams, Lindsey and husband Jeff Smith and Kaitlin Williams; one great-grandson, Conor Lumpkin; and several special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dr. James Williams; three sisters, Mary, Helen and Lora; and a grandson, Zachary Travis Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Father Tim Goodman and Mother Sherry Black will officiate. Burial will follow in Brushy Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of donations to St. Stephen&#39;s Episcopal Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
