John Capps Sr.

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[John Capps Sr. of Harrisburg passed away 1:10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

He was born in Morganfield, Ky., on Aug. 6, 1958, the son of Ernie and Anna McCormack Capps. He married Rosanne Chambliss on Aug. 21, 1978, in Morganfield, Ky.

He was an Army veteran and owned Capps Family Construction Co.

John is survived by his wife, Rosanna of Harrisburg; two sons, John and Josh and Angela Capps; and one daughter Elizabeth and Jeremy Cook, all of Harrisburg; three brothers, Earnie and Kathy Capps of Marion, N.C., Milas and Janice Capps of Morganfield, Ky. and Ricky and Barbara Capps of Dixon, Ky.; two sisters, Ellen and Davie Bryan of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Barbara Baskett of Athens, Ala.; and four grandchildren, Jonah, Chaiselynne, Alex and Bailee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Talmadge Brown, Vera Elizabeth Haas and Ruth Capps.

The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be announced later by the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home.
