Hildred L. Grant

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Hildred L. Grant, 89, longtime resident of Ridgway, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, in the Fountainview Nursing Home in Eldorado.

Hildred was born on the family farm near New Haven on Aug. 1, 1921, to the late Luther and Anabel (Beasley) Wilson. On Sept. 14, 1952, she married Clyde Grant, who preceded her in death in 2000.

Hildred was a well-known beautician for over 60 years. She was a member of Ridgway Eastern Star and was a past worthy matron. Hildred was a faithful member of the Ridgway Presbyterian Church and was a very kind and caring person. She loved her family very much.

Hildred will be so missed by the community.

Hildred is survived by her daughter, Sharyon "Sherri" Ulbrich and her fianc&#233;, Robert Cox; along with two grandsons, Dr. Cary William Ulbrich and wife Cheri and doctors Jamie Grant Ulbrich and wife Sherri; five great-grandchildren, Erica, Kayla, Rachel, Grace and John Henry Ulbrich.

She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Florence Wilson, Henry Ulbrich; three nephews, Ron Wilson, Gary Wilson and Larry Wilson; and a niece, Deanna Parks.

Hildred was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two brothers, Max and James Wilson.

Visitation for Hildred will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway with Eastern Star rites at 7 p.m. The funeral for Hildred will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at the Ridgway Presbyterian Church where the family will receive friends after 9 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Wade Halva will officiate and interment will be in the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
