Allene Jones

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Allene Jones, 74, of Harrisburg, longtime resident of Eldorado, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at her residence.

She was the wife of Tom Raymond Jones, who survives.

Allene was born in Hettick on Dec. 11, 1935, the daughter of the late William Allen and Geneva (Kimbro) Stults.

She was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Eldorado.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Red Hat Society.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Fred) Plumlee of Thompsonville and Sarah (Scott) Troehler of Springfield; grandchildren Matthew (Ashley) Plumlee, Harrisburg, Derak (Stephanie) Plumlee, Galatia, Jamie Jones, Herrin, Jack Troehler, Springfield and Emma Jane Troehler, Springfield; four great-grandchildren, Hadleigh Plumlee, Ansley Plumlee, Zachery Plumlee and Isiah Plumlee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Janie Neal and Randy Jones.

Funeral services will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, with the Rev. Darrell Ford and the Rev. Russell Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in Whittington.

Visitation is 11 a.m. Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and can be left at the funeral home.

Allene will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
