Geneva Baziluk
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Geneva Baziluk, 88, passed away 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at her residence.
Geneva was born March 23, 1922, in Johnston City to Dominic and Petronia (Nagrodski) Zelinski. She was a 1939 graduate of Johnston City High School.
Geneva was retired, having worked at Dennison Manufacturing in Chicago for over 30 years. She had the rare ability to recognize and remember the names of her company's clients. For this, she was known as "Mrs. Dennison."
After retiring, she returned to her home town and enjoyed being a member and secretary of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Johnston City. She also enjoyed working with her classmates on the J.C.H.S. Class of 1939 reunions. She was of the Catholic faith. She was an immaculate housekeeper and enjoyed playing golf and traveling when she was younger.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Janine and Ed Farrell of Raleigh; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Baziluk; sister, Mildred Clemovitz of Tucson, Ariz.; niece, Patricia Trover and husband Larry of Vienna; two nephews, Michael Clemovitz and wife Carol of Dallas, Texas, David Clemovitz of Tucson, Ariz.; and several great-nieces and -nephews. She is also survived by many relatives and several close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Bruce Baziluk.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at Lakeview Cemetery with Sr. Catherine Wellinghoff officiating. Internment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. In honor of Geneva's wishes, family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City is entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Coach Kill Cancer Fund or the American Cancer Society. Memorial envelopes will be available at the cemetery the day of the service or at the funeral home.
