Betty Mae (Murrow) Frothingham

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Betty Mae (Murrow) Frothingham, 78, passed away Sept. 12, 2010, in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

She was born on July 19, 1932 in Stonefort, to Benjamin Robert and Nola Mae (Talley) Murrow Sr.

Betty was a longtime resident of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., having moved there from Ventura, Calif., in 1989. She married Barney C. Frothingham Jr. on May 30, 1952. Betty was a graduate of Carrier Mills Community High School and worked in retailing for several years. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church of Lake Havasu, a retired member of the Havasu Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She will be deeply missed and always loved.

Betty is survived by her husband of 58 years, Barney Frothingham; daughter, Elizabeth Carol; son, Noel Kevin; two granddaughters, Melissa Molinero and Amy Joye Frothingham; grandson, Benjamin James Frothingham; three sisters, Alice Murrow Ross, Mildred Murrow Oliver and Dorothy Murrow Oliver; a sister-in-law, Mabel Tanner Murrow Clements; as well as many nieces, nephews and her special friend, Mrs. Martha Zane.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Blanche Murrow Black, Lorene Murrow McDaniel Anderson, Pauline Murrow Stucker, Marie Murrow Casey Whitlock and Wanda Murrow Deaton Murray; four brothers, James "Fuzzy" Murrow, Benjamin Robert "Bob" Murrow Jr. and William and John who died in infancy.

Memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, with Pastor Chet Anderson officiating. Graveside service will be held at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Betty&#39;s name to the Polodri House, 1970 Bahama Ave., LHC.
