Edna Jene Haile

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Edna Jene Haile, 79, wife of the late Gene Haile of Eldorado, passed away at the home of her daughter following a long illness. Mrs. Haile was born Oct. 12, 1930, the daughter of Lacey and Louvena Barger of Harrisburg. She has lived with her daughter Becky and son-in-law Ed Williams in Taft, Tenn., since the April 2001 death of her husband.

Edna is survived by her other daughter, Gena Haile of Eldorado; six grandchildren, Julai Whipple of Houston, Texas, Jona Whipple of Chicago, Noah Whipple of Carbondale, Molly Whipple of Carbondale, Isaiah Williams of Taft, Tenn., Jordan Williams stationed at NAS Pensacola, Fla.; great-grandson, William Whipple of Carbondale; two sisters and four brothers, Susie (Robert) Yates of Harrisburg, Mary Alice Hoskin (friend Tony) of Leesburg, Fla., Fred (JoAnn) Barger of Collinsville; George (Pat) Barger of St. Louis, Mo.; Donnie Barger of Collinsville and Steven (Karen) Barger of Marion, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Diane (Don) Vineyard of Carbondale.

Edna was a member of the First Christian Church of Eldorado. She attended Harrisburg High School, worked at Myron&#39;s Dress Shop, the Eldorado REA, Felt Chiropractic Center, and was a stay-at-home mom for her children.

Arrangements are in process for a graveside service at Coffee Cemetery in Somerset next to the home built by her great-grandmother, Phoebe Allen Estes. Edna had many happy memories of time spent in the Somerset area with her grandmother, Cordelia McClendon, whom she lovingly referred to as "Mama." In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prosperity Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Children&#39;s Ministry, 46 Sulpher Springs Road, Fayetteville, Tenn. 37334.
