Lillie Alta Hubbard
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lillie Alta Hubbard, 96, of Golconda, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Pope County Care Center in Golconda.
She was born Jan. 7, 1914, in Pope County to John T. and Alice (Sheldon) Cummins. She married James Henry Hubbard on Dec. 4, 1930, and he passed away on March 10, 1981.
Survivors include one son, John Henry and wife (Clara) Hubbard of Arizona; three daughters, Rosalee Bebout of Harrisburg, Nina and husband Bennie Gibbs of Golconda and Evelyn Martinez of Harrisburg; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, James Hubert Hubbard; one granddaughter, Patsy Ann Bebout; two grandsons, Freeman Larry Bebout and Timmy Snyder; five brothers, Lymon Cummins, Ruey Cummins, Lloyd Cummins, Alvin Cummins and Virgil Cornell; one sister, Virda Mae Cummins Rains; and one son-in-law, Lacey Bebout.
She was the oldest living member of the Dutton Chapel General Baptist Church in rural Golconda.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at the Dutton Chapel General Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Patton and Bro. John Rader will conduct the service. Burial will follow at the Collier Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the church.
