OBITUARY: Rondell Jerry Burton

Rondell Jerry Burton, age 68 of Harrisburg, passed away at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at his residence in Harrisburg.

Rondell was born on Sept. 29, 1946, in Hardin County, to the late Howard and Golda (Ginger) Burton. He was a welder.

Rondell is survived by his son: Philip (Kimberly) Burton of Hardin County; daughter: Wednesday Gray of Metropolis; daughter: Angie (Robert) Matthews of Harrisburg; daughter: Rozie (Colby) Frasier of Madisonville, Ky.; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother: R.T. (Alma Jean) Burton of Eddyville; sister: Phyllis (Steve) Mueller of Johnston City; brother: Edward F. (Barbara) Burton of Murphysboro; several nieces and nephews.

Rondell was preceded in death by two sons: James Vest Burton and "Hardy" Burton; two brothers, Wendell Burton and James Burton; and a sister, Barbara Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Scott Pilkington will officiate. Burial will follow in Rose Cemetery in Hardin County.
