Sharon Rose Stone
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sharon Rose Stone, 61, Raleigh, passed away at 9:27 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, Ind. She was born on Sept. 3, 1948, in Galatia to the late Howard and Vera Velva (Clark) Thomas. On May 8, 1970, she married Charles Frank Stone, and he survives.
Sharon was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Social Brethren Church. She worked in housekeeping at Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado.
Surviving family members include her husband, Charles Frank Stone of Raleigh; four brothers, Charles (Linda) Thomas of Gilbert, Ariz., Darrell (Janet) Thomas of Galatia, Harold (Louise) Thomas of Harrisburg and Ken Thomas of East Peoria; three sisters, Hazel Holloway of Modesto, Calif., Jane Dardeen of O'Fallon and Lena Mae (Darell) Bosecker of Elkville; sister-in-law, Hazel Tucker of Raleigh; mother-in-law, Mabel Stone of Raleigh; special friend, Patty Thompson of Galatia; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lawrence Thomas and Bob Thomas; sister, Mildred Thomas; and father-in-law, Charles Stone.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Mark Finnie will officiate. Burial will follow in Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Social Brethren Church in Raleigh. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
