</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Shirley M. Shain, 83, a resident of Fountain View Nursing Home, Eldorado, died 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Ferrell Hospital, Eldorado.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Randy Plunkett officiating. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010, at the funeral home.

She was born May 23, 1927, in Eldorado to Charlie and Frances (Smith) Simpson. On March 28, 1948, she married Roy Lee Shain, who preceded her in death on July 17, 1998.

She was the society editor for the Eldorado Daily Journal and Harrisburg Daily Register. She was a member of Eldorado First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a sister, Helen Sullivan of Harrisburg; a niece, Cheryl (John) Ledbetter of Harrisburg; a nephew, Chuck (Vicky) Sullivan of Eldorado; a great-niece, Elaina Ledbetter of Harrisburg; two great-nephews, Mike (Joni) Sullivan and Brett (Melissa) Sullivan; nine great-great-nieces and nephews, Logan Sullivan, Tyler Sullivan, McKenzie Sullivan, Landon Sullivan, Laney Sullivan, Haley Sullivan, Chase Sullivan, Lawson Sullivan and Livvie Sullivan.
