</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Word was received last week of the sudden and unexpected death of Dennis Ferrell in Tucson, Ariz., where he had resided for many years. Denny was the youngest of five children born to the late Roby and Elsie Ferrell of Harrisburg on July 11, 1944.
He attended Harrisburg schools and graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1966. Denny was known for his great musical ability and was for many years a professional organist in the Tucson area.
In his later years, true to his passion for the elderly, he found his niche as activity director in nursing homes and similar facilities. There he continued to share his love of music for their enjoyment.
Denny leaves behind his family, consisting of a brother, Dale and Donna Ferrell; sister, Lodema and Ben Sisk (all of Harrisburg); sister, Linda and Don Carnett of Oklahoma City, Okla. One sister, Velda, passed away as a child. Several nieces and nephews also mourn his passing.
Denny's wishes for cremation have been honored. His remains will be returned to Harrisburg where a graveside memorial service will be held at a date to be determined later. Denny Ferrell was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
