Richard C. Combs

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Richard C. Combs, 73, of Equality, passed away at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2010, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

He was born on Jan. 11, 1937, in Indianapolis, Ind. to Robert Sewell Combs and Nola Elizabeth (Durslinger) Caudill. Richard married Mary L. Jones on Aug. 12, 1989.

He was a retired auto mechanic.

Richard is survived by his wife, Mary L. Combs of Equality; two stepdaughters, Paula and Dennis Thaxton and Diana and Charles Colboth, all of Harrisburg; two stepsons, John Ditterline of Harrisburg and Greg Bates of Equality; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, William Caudill; grandson, Jordan Colboth; and brother, Robert Combs.

Visitation for Richard will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery near Equality.
