Virginia 'Ginny' VanBibber

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Virginia VanBibber, 88, Harrisburg, passed away at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

Virginia was born in St. Louis, Mo., to the late Rev. Arthur "Pete" Goodwin and Helen (Booten) Goodwin. Virginia married Orval "Nick" VanBibber on June 12, 1939, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 2006.

Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrisburg.

She is survived by cousins, Linda (Lyndell) Stacey of Herod, Brad (Shannon) Stacey of West Frankfort and Sean Stacey of West Frankfort; special people in her life, Becky Banks of Harrisburg, Brian (Jada) Banks of Marion, Whitney (Martin) Nicholes of Harrisburg, Hailey, Chase and Cooper Banks, and Frankie Leigh and Quincy Nicholes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Nick; and a daughter in infancy, Sue Ellen VanBibber.

Graveside funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. Pastor Robbie Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
