Daphne Elizabeth Crouch

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Daphne Elizabeth Crouch, 100, of Norris City, passed away at 6:56 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.

She was born Dec. 28, 1909, in Morganfield, Ky., the daughter of Charlie Eli and Minerva Nancy (Barnett) Morehead. She married John Raymond Crouch on Dec. 25, 1932, and he preceded her in death Jan. 4, 1995.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Norris City Church of God.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Jesse Hamilton of Bethalto, Gwendolyn Ann and the Rev. James Jones of Orlando, Fla. and Nancy Maureen and Dr. Robert O&#39;Bannon of Cleveland, Tenn.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. John Raymond and Jane Crouch Jr. of Tulsa, Okla. and James Eugene and Brenda Crouch of Norris City; and 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five sisters, Mabel Mills, Margaret Wilkins, Katherine Spencer, Joy Johnson and Willie Garrett; and four brothers, Danny, James, Houston and Hughes Morehead.

Funeral services for Daphne Elizabeth Crouch, 100, of Norris City will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Norris City Church of God with the Rev. James Jones and the Rev. Eric Evans officiating. Burial will be in the Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado. Friends may call from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010, at the Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Norris City Church of God Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
