Lee Roy Jackson
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lee Roy Jackson, 89, Edgewood, N.M., passed away in Albuquerque, N.M., on Tuesday, May 11, 2010.
Lee Roy was born in Harrisburg on June 26, 1920, to Arthur and Clara (Womack) Jackson. He married his loving wife of 67 years, Lucille Barger, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., on June 27, 1942.
Lee Roy and his wife, Lucille, had lived in Edgewood for the past 36 years, having been residents of New Mexico for 61 years.
Lee Roy was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and four sisters, from this area, Jewell Jackson and Rena (Jackson) Elam.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Jackson of Edgewood, N.M.; two sons, Harold Dwayne Jackson and his wife, Phyllis K. of Albuquerque, N.M. and Leon Jackson and his wife, Beverly of Tijeras, N.M.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held at the Moriarty Church of Christ in Moriarty, N.M., on Saturday, May 15, 2010, with John C. Booth Jr. officiating. Pallbearers were Waylon Jackson, Nickolas Jackson, Joseph Jackson, Bill Foster, Bill Ditz, Dwayne Jackson and John Maurx. Honorary pallbearers were Levi Jackson, Eli Jackson, Aaron Jackson, Joshua Jackson and Caleb Jackson. Burial was at Mountain View Cemetery in Edgewood, N.M.
