Jane Mitchell Erkman
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jane Mitchell Erkman passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010, at St. Francis Assisted Living Care in Turlock, Calif.
She was born in 1927 in Harrisburg to the late Charles and Dean Mitchell. She moved to Dubuque, Iowa, in 1951, and then Park Forest in 1957. Jane moved to Campbell, Calif., in 1968 where she was an office manager for Associated Psychotherapist for 27 years. After retiring, she moved to Newman, Calif., in 1995 before she settled in Turlock, Calif., five years ago.
Jane was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. By far her greatest enjoyment was attending Little League games, children plays or any activity in which her children or grandchildren participated. She loved the theatre and symphony. She was an avid sports fan who supported the San Francisco 49ers and Giants.
She is survived by her three children, Emily Carlson of Ceres, Calif., David Erkman of Long Beach, Calif., and Susan Erkman of Albuquerque, N.M. She leaves behind eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and former husband, James Erkman.
She is preceded in death by her son, James Erkman; and grandson Steven Erkman.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, Calif. 95380.
