D. Eloise Raley Chamberlain

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[D. Eloise Raley Chamberlain, 95, of Carrier Mills, formerly of Herod, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, surrounded by her loving daughters.

Eloise was born March 25, 1915, in Morganfield, Ky., the daughter of the late McCarthy and Willie Morehead Raley. She was the wife of the late Charles K. Chamberlain. They were blessed with 72 years of marriage before his death on March 12, 2006.

Eloise is survived by her daughters, Dorothea (the late Robert) Jones of rural Harrisburg, Sara Anne Calvert of Carrier Mills and Rebecca Baise and husband Art of Rolla, Mo.; five grandsons, John Robert (Nellie) Jones of Christopher, Kenneth (Lois) Jones of Pryor, Okla., Brian (Michele) Jones of Kevil, Ky., Brett Calvert of Carrier Mills and Zachary (Tara) Baise of Louisville, Ky.; three granddaughters, Cindy Jones of Springfield, Juanita (Don) Brimberry of Carrier Mills and Erin (Jason) Bell of St. James, Mo.; six great-grandsons, Tim (Rachel) Jones of McLeansboro, Brandon Jones of Springfield, Ross Jones of Kevil, Ky., Robbie Evetts of Springfield, Nolan Bell of St. James, Mo. and Mac Baise of Louisville, Ky.; eight great-granddaughters, Karin (Chris) Ramsey of Mulkeytown, Breanna Jones of Kevil, Ky., Kati Brimberry of Carrier Mills, Megan Calvert of Springfield, Natassia Calvert of Carrier Mills, Lavern Bell of St. James, Mo., and Maiya Baise and Auburn Baise of Louisville, Ky.; and a great-great-grandson, Nathan Ramsey of Mulkeytown.

Eloise will also be missed by her surviving sister and brother-in-law, Joy and James Guynn of Eldorado; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Rose Lee Raley of Marion; and sister-in-law, Pat Raley, wife of the late Charles Raley.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband, Charles Chamberlain; by her son-in-law, Robert Jones; and two brothers, Bill Raley and Charles Raley.

She has been a member of Land Street Church of God in Harrisburg for 50 years. Eloise has worked with her husband in all business endeavors, which include nursing homes, super markets and their farm in northern Pope County. She has also written lovely poems in her spare time and sewed for her daughters and granddaughters. She had a wonderful, blessed life and will be greatly missed.

Eloise is in our future now, not in our past.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Ken Tiffin and the Rev. Paul Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to service time on Saturday. Burial will be in Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado.
