</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Billy J. Goins, 39, 115 Pine St., Rosiclare, died at 2:04 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, in Elizabethtown.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with military rites 6 p.m. by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legions and the National Guard Honor Team. Cremation will follow.

He was born on Feb. 13, 1971, in Rosiclare to Eschol Goins and Melinda (Clark) Rice.

He was a 1989 graduate of Carrier Mills-Stonefort High School. He worked as a carpenter and electrician. He was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Melinda (Herman "Smokey") Rice of Carrier Mills; father, Eschol Goins of Eldorado; son, Billy Joe Goins of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Hannah Davis of Harrisburg and Chelsea Simmons of Carrier Mills; two sisters, Penny Stricklin of Carrier Mills and Elizabeth Hirsch of Harrisburg; brother, Josh Reed of Carrier Mills; special friend, Carole Hubbs of Rosiclare; and many nieces and nephews.
