New hours at Forest Service's Jonesboro office


The U.S. Forest Service is adjusting the hours of its Jonesboro Office.

There are three Shawnee National Forest offices serving the public where forest information, maps and permits can be obtained. They are located in Harrisburg, Vienna and Jonesboro.

Beginning Feb. 23 the Jonesboro Office - home of the Mississippi Bluffs Ranger District - will be closed Mondays and open 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

The Hidden Springs Ranger District in Vienna is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Shawnee National Forest Headquarters in Harrisburg is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
