</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lyndell Scribner, 92, 1908 Forest St., Eldorado, died 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010.
As per her wishes, the burial will be private. Arrangements are in the charge of Watson Funeral Home, Eldorado.
She was born May 5, 1917, in White County to H.G. and Clara (Brittain) Draper. She was the widow of William "Bill" Scribner, who died on Dec. 6, 1993.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Beta Sigma Phi. She was an avid bridge player and a duplicate bridge player. She was a member of Saline County Golf and Country Club and during her golf play, scored a hole-in-one. Lyndell was a great cook and enjoyed entertaining in her home. She was co-owner and operator of Scribner's Store for Men for over 50 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Carl) Justice and Beth (Rick) Williams, both of Eldorado; two sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Draper of Carmi and Bettie Barger of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Ross Romer and Whitney (Mike) Shook; several nieces and nephews; and four great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Rachel Romer and Abby and Connor Shook.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, H.G. Draper Jr.; and a sister, Earlene Wettaw.
For those who desire, memorials in her memory may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Ferrell Hospital Foundation.
