OBITUARY: Kenneth C. Allen

Kenneth C. Allen, 90 of Harco, passed away 9:10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.

He was born on March 7, 1924, to the late Curt and Anna (Thompson) Allen in Harco. Kenneth married Ina (Keneipp) Allen on Jan. 26, 1951. He was the owner and operator of the Sloan Street Market in Harrisburg from 1957 to 1986 when he retired. He was also a WWII Army Veteran and a member of the Union Chapel Church where he served as an Elder of the church.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Ina and two children, Brett (Kristin) Allen and Tracy Hall (Richard Clark); four grandchildren, Chase (Robin) Allen, Kellen (Drew) Lacey, Logan Burroughs and Chandler Choate; and also two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday. The Rev. Kevin Peyton will officiate with burial in the Brushy Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Brushy Cemetery.
