OBITUARY: Mary Alice Norman

Mary Alice Norman (nee Murrow) age 79 of Galatia, passed away peacefully in her daughter's home in Morris on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015.

She was born in Harrisburg to the late John David Murrow and Mary (Logsdon) Murrow.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clayborn Dale Norman; sister, Elizabeth Ann Reed; brothers, David Murrow, Claude Murrow, Bill Murrow and Darrell "Butch" Murrow.

Surviving are her children, Clay Norman of Ft. Worth, Texas, Rhonda (John) Stanley of Morris, John Norman of Sugar Grove, Larry (Linda) Norman of Plainfield and William Norman of Morris; grandchildren, Matthew and Leslie Norman, Joe and Amy Norman, John and Mary Stanley, David and Kimberly Schillo, Kyle and Raice Norman. She is also survived by two sisters, Lucille Forwe of Salem, Mo., and Carrol Cluck of Galatia; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She worked as a full-time homemaker raising five children with her husband of 55 years. Mary's hobbies included cooking, quilting, gardening and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
