John R. 'Bob' Baggott Jr.

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mr. John R. "Bob" Baggott Jr., 91, of Harrisburg, passed away at 11:43 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Harrisburg Medical Center.

He was the widower of Virginia (Feazel) Baggott.

John was born in Wasson on Jan. 4, 1919, the son of the late John R. and Minnie (Mossman) Baggott.

He was a member of Harco Baptist Church.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Prior to retirement he worked as a welder at Sahara Coal Company.

He was a 32nd Degree Mason.

John is survived by a son, John R. (Darlene) Baggott III of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, James (Gracita) Baggott of Florida and Jamie Villalon of Florida; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a brother-in-law, Harold Dean Feazel of Harrisburg; and a special niece, Kimberly Davenport and family of Harco.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann Sturman; granddaughter, Melissa Evans; sisters, Edna Mae Yancey and Virginia Stallions.

Graveside services will be held at Lindale Cemetery, Eldorado at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 5, 2010 with the Rev. Russell Helton officiating.

Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado is in charge of arrangements.
