Former Harrisburg resident appearing on Nat Geo Channel
We have received word former Harrisburg resident, Colby Raines, now in St. Louis, Mo., will be appearing on the survival program "Remote Survival" on the National Geographic Channel 6 p.m. Thursday.
Raines' episode is titled "Panic Button." The program's theme involves sending ordinary people into wilderness with cameras while survival guides in a studio give them instructions.
The National Geographic Channel's Web site describes Raines' episode as "Colby Raines, from St. Louis, Missouri, is a voice over actor. Despite his fear of heights, he asserts that he has total confidence and that his time in the desert will be like a vacation."
A clip on the sight depicts Raines approaching a pool beneath a cliff in a desert canyon. In the pool are tadpoles which the survival guide instructs Raines to eat. Raines says the most disgusting thing he has ever eaten is Chinese food.
