Ferne Rosalie Johnson

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ferne Rosalie Johnson, 93, of Harrisburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born on Feb. 11, 1917 in Raleigh to Bert and Elizabeth (Wiley) Jones. She married James Johnson and he preceded her in death.

She was a public health nurse and a member of the American Nurses Association and the Florida Nurses Association. She was a Baptist by faith.

Surviving family members include a son, Gary Johnson of North Carolina; daughter, Gaila Rausch of Florida; her brother, Forrest Jones of Osage Beach, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; and two sisters.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Raleigh Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Winkleman officiating. Those attending are asked to gather at the cemetery. The family request memorial contributions be made in the form of donations to the Ferne Jones Johnson Nursing Scholarship Fund for Eldorado High School nursing students.
