Vivian R. Mason

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Vivian R. Mason, 74 of Harrisburg, formerly of Marshall and Carmi, died at 1:10 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Ind.

She was born Sept. 27, 1935, in Melrose Township, the daughter of Richard Mason and Rosa Ellen Carpenter Mason. Vivian loved people and loved to work with her hands, creating crafts.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry G. and Mara Lina Mason, Oblong; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles R. and Christine Mason, Terre Haute, Ind., Kenneth P. Mason, Lewisville, Texas; her half-sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Richard Toony, Mt. Vernon, Ind.; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Roscoe E. Mason.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home, West Union, with Brother Ivan Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Cemetery, West Union. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
