Lula Mary Kane
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lula Mary Kane, 87, Harrisburg, passed away at 10:32 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Ind.
Lula was born on June 5, 1922, in Harrisburg to the late William A. and Mary (Ferrell) Owen. She married William "Bill" Kane in 1948, and he preceded her in death in 2000.
Lula was a member of the Dorrisville Baptist Church and she was active in the Brookstone activities.
Lula is survived by two sons, Philip Kane and Jerry Kane; two granddaughters, Kelly Chapman of Harrisburg and Kim Williams and husband Jonathan of Harrisburg; two sisters, Bernice Stader of South Carolina and Dorothy Dann of Alton; several great-grandchildren, Cameron Chapman of St. Louis, Mo., Nick Borders of Harrisburg, Carsen Borders of Harrisburg, Ashley Williams of Cape Girardeau, Mo. and Nathan Williams of Harrisburg; one daughter-in-law, Sue Richerson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Dewayne Taylor will officiate; burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Brookstone Activities Fund and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
