Irma S. Ridenour

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Irma S. Ridenour, 88, of Springfield, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 9, 1921, in Evansville, Ind., to the late Frank and Mary Krueger Schriefer. She married Kenneth P. Ridenour on Feb. 11, 1951. He preceded her in death in 2002.

Mrs. Ridenour graduated from Central High School and Lockyear Business College in Evansville and worked as a bookkeeper for Smith and Butterfield in Evansville from 1939 to 1951. She was a member of Zion Church of Christ in Evansville for many years and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg.

She is survived by three sons, Dr. Timothy (wife, Jeri) Ridenour of Bartlett, David Ridenour of Springfield and Robert Ridenour of Oxnard, Calif.; two daughters, Janet Ridenour of Kalamazoo, Mich. and Brenda Ridenour of Villa Park; four grandchildren, Samantha Ridenour, Daniel Ridenour, Brian Kenealy and Phillip Kenealy; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Services will follow with the Rev. Dr. David MacDonna, Sr. officiating.

Private burial will be in the Park Lawn Cemetery in Evansville, Ind.
