Carolyn Jane Whitlock

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Carolyn Jane Whitlock, 84, 22 Main St., Raleigh, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at her residence.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. David Pinkerton and the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at the funeral home.

She was born April 11, 1925, in Raleigh to Paul and Essie (Hale) Minner. She was the widow of Clifton Whitlock, who preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 2003.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Raleigh Baptist Church and served on the jury commission of Saline County, the Raleigh Village Board and Raleigh Historical Society. She passed away in the home in which she was born.

She is survived by a son, Jeff Whitlock of Equality; a daughter, Paula (Gary) Gerling of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Sam Minner of Collinsville; four sisters, Mary (Jim) Geiger of Sandoval, Beth (Wayne) Sphere of Centralia, Fran Ferrell of Ellenton, Fla., and Virginia (Ken) Whitlock of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two grandchildren, Aaron Whitlock and Jessica Whitlock; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Riley Whitlock.
