Anna Mae Risinger

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Anna Mae Risinger, 90, a resident of Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Galatia, died 8:38 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at her residence.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Sloan Funeral Home, Galatia. Burial will be in Bramlet Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born May 28, 1919, in Raleigh to John and Lulabelle (Kernes) Stafford. On Sept. 1, 1962, she married Leaman Risinger, who preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1985.

She was a retired homemaker and a member of Raleigh Baptist Church. She went regularly to the Harrisburg Golden Circle and loved going there with special friends Betty Hale and the late Pauline Harbison to eat lunch and quilt.

She is survived by two sisters, Gladys Vogt of Belleville and Stella Fowler of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Dea Stafford of Harrisburg; a niece, Barbara Allen of Raleigh; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Rose and Hattie Stafford and Winnie Bradley; and three brothers, Arnold "Dutch," James and Everett Stafford.
