Anna Janice Peyton

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Anna Janice Peyton, 91, Harrisburg, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Galatia.

Janice was born July 17, 1918, in Saline County to the late Harry and Myrtle (Rhine) Puckett. She married James "Mouse" Peyton on Dec. 25, 1940, and he preceded her in death on May 25, 1995. She was a member of Union Chapel Church of Galatia.

Janice is survived by a daughter, Janis Arnold of Harrisburg; a son, Jim Peyton and wife Phyllis of Harrisburg; four grandsons, Jimmy Lee Peyton of Harrisburg, Michael Peyton of Harrisburg, Bruce Arnold and wife Tammy of Galatia and Tim Arnold and wife Eliza of Galatia; three great-grandsons, Peyton, Noah and Wyatt Arnold, all of Galatia; sister, Norma Turner and husband Jim of Galatia; and brother, Don Puckett and wife Nancy of Harrisburg.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son-in-law, David Arnold; brothers, Wayne, Bill, Charles, Lowell and Herman Puckett; and one sister in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Dr. Harrison Peyton and the Rev. Kevin Peyton will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
