Cecil Albert Weidemann
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mr. Cecil Albert Weidemann, 83, of Equality, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, while in the company of his family at his residence.
He was the husband of Mary C. (Prather) Weidemann who survives. They were married June 13, 1948, in Equality.
Cecil was born in Equality on Feb. 27, 1926, the son of the late William and Laura B. (Moore) Weidemann.
He worked as a maintenance mechanic at Calumet Steel Castings in Hammond, Ind., prior to retirement.
In addition to his wife, Cecil is survived by a son, Michael (Joann) Weidemann of Valparaiso, Ind., and a daughter, Cecile (Dennis) DeNeal of Eldorado.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Clifford, Charles, James, John and Clyde; and two sisters, Sue Moore Carden and Lura Moore.
Funeral services will be at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, with Dr. David Pinkerton officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Equality.
Visitation hours are 11 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and may be left at the funeral home.
