OBITUARY: Alda M. Harris

Alda M. Harris, 88, of 216 A W. South St., Harrisburg, died 10:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

At her request cremation has been accorded. There will be no services. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is assisting the family.

She was born on Nov. 22, 1926, in Cadiz, Ky., to the late James Carlos and Ina (Damron) Wilbanks.

She married Raymond Harris on Aug. 2, 1963, and he preceded him in death on Oct. 18, 2001.

She is survived by four sons: James Harris of Harrisburg, Terry Foster of Harrisburg, Pete (Betty) Foster of Brazil, Ind., and Dan (Cindy) Foster of Boise, Idaho; two daughters: Della (Dave) Smith of Harrisburg and Darlene McQueen of Tennessee; two daughters-in-law: Karen Foster of Harrisburg and Cora Foster of Carrier Mills; brother: Truman Wilbanks of Arizona; half brother: Wayne Wilbanks of Eldorado; 29 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Mike Foster and Dave Foster; daughter: Sue Campbell; grandson: Casey Robertson; and sister: Elsie Atkinson.
