</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ernie Joe Flota, 77, Alton, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church in Alton with the Rev. Brett Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park, Godfrey, with military rites by Alton VFW Post No. 1308 of Alton. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.

He is survived by his wife, the former Luann Stumpf; three daughters; three sons-in-law; two sons; and 10 grandchildren.
