Pauline 'Polly' McKenzie

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pauline "Polly" McKenzie, 91, Sullivan, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at the Sullivan Healthcare Center.

Pauline was born on Jan. 25, 1918, in Harrisburg to the late Frank and Nelly (Gable) Bond. She married Fred F. McKenzie in 1937, and he preceded her in death in 1988.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrisburg and the Home Bureau.

Pauline is survived by one son, Fred McKenzie and wife Margie of Decatur; one daughter, Kaye Wagner and husband Larry of Sullivan; four grandchildren, Melissa Aberssen and husband Scott of Taylorville, Aimee Darush of Springfield, Craig McKenzie and wife Glenna of Decatur and Andy Wagner of Sullivan; seven great-grandchildren; cousins, Phyllis Erwin and husband Jerry of Harrisburg and Donna Fulbright of Florida; and nephew, Phillip Dorris of Hasting, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; sister, Juanita Dorris; brother, Mason Bond; and nephew, Joe Dorris.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Paul McGhghy will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Sullivan Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center or St. John's Hospice.
