Doris Killman

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Doris Killman, 77, of Ozark, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009 in Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born on April 22, 1932, in Saline County to the late Vance and Helen Chase Knowles. On Jan. 15, 1949, she married James D. Killman; he preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1993.

Doris was a homemaker and a member of the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Hearn of Creal Springs; and a son, Jimmy Dion Killman of Ozark; two grandchildren, Jimmy Derek Killman, stationed with the Coast Guard in Charleston, S.C., and Demita Robertson of Lake of Egypt; a sister-in-law, Barbara (Jerry) Enz of Carrier Mills; four special friends, Rose and Gail Frothingham and Vema Blackman and Grace Blackman; and several nieces and nephews; and her two cats, Blossom and Wendy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons-in-law, Tom Robertson and Gary Hearn; two sisters, Florence Stricklin and Margaret Browning; and two brothers, Clifford Knowles and John Knowles.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Keith Bunfill officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery east of Ozark. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009 at the funeral home.

The preferred choice of remembrance is memorials to the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church in lieu of flowers. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
