Mark Allen McGuire

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mark Allen McGuire, 44, of Raleigh, formerly of Ridgway, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, from the result of an auto accident.

Mark was born in Eldorado on Nov. 15, 1965, to Charles (Chuck) and Linda McGuire. He attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Ridgway High School. Mark then attended ITT Technical School where he received his bachelor's degree. He was a maintenance mechanic at Rexam Closures in Evansville, Ind., for the past 22 years.

Mark was married on Oct. 14, 1989, to Lori (Overstreet) McGuire. Mark was a faithful member of the St. John's Catholic Church in West Frankfort. He loved sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and Notre Dame. Mark's life was his family and he will always be remembered as a kind, caring and compassionate person. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Mark will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Mark is survived by his wife, Lori (Overstreet) McGuire of Raleigh; two sons, Matthew and Benjamin McGuire; a daughter, Kaitlyn McGuire; his parents, Charles and Linda McGuire of Ridgway; a brother, Tim (Lisa) McGuire of Evansville, Ind.; his grandmother, Louise Abell of Ridgway; mother-in-law, Dena (Jim) Hayes; sisters-in-law, Sara (Tim) Boulds and Rachel (Mike) Boulds. Mark is also survived by nieces and nephews, Kasey and Ryan McGuire, Samantha, Laura, Joseph, Alysha, Mikaylah and Jason Boulds.

Mark was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Anthony; his father-in-law, John Overstreet; a nephew, John Boulds; and his grandparents.

Visitation for Mark will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway where a prayer service will start at 4 p.m. The funeral mass for Mark will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway with Fr. Trevor Murry as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Ridgway.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family for a trust fund for the children. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
