Lois June Taylor

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lois June Taylor, 63, of 8102 state Route 1, Junction, passed away at 1:32 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg.

Lois was born March 4, 1946, in Drakesboro, Ky., the daughter of Virgil Lee and Novella (Hafley) Van. She married Thomas Junior Taylor on Dec. 23, 1984.

She was a homemaker and certified nurse's aide.

Lois is survived by her husband, Thomas Junior Taylor of Junction; her mother, Novella Van of Ridgway; one daughter, Lois and Doug Poore of Junction; two sons, Dennis and Ella Patton and John and Nellie Patton, all of Shawneetown; four sisters, Wanda Osborne and Ed Lawler of Shawneetown, Marlene and Roy Lynch of Ridgway, Virgie and Brain Patton of Shawneetown and Joyce and Stanley Weddell of Shawneetown; two brothers, Arval and Anita Van, Tildon, and Mary Van, all of Shawneetown; five grandchildren, Leigh Poore, Adam Patton, Tyler Patton, Rebekah Patton and Zachary Patton; and one great-grandchild, Julie Haney.

She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil; and two sisters, Wilma Gobtop and Opal Matthews.

Graveside services for Lois will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Hogan Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Rushing officiating. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Shawneetown is in charge of arrangements.
