Kay King

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kay King, 65, of Harrisburg, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at the Shawnee Rose Care Center in Harrisburg.

She was born on Sept. 30, 1943, in Harrisburg, the daughter of John W. and Guyleen (Suver) Smith.

She was a lifelong resident of Harrisburg and attended Harrisburg Community High School.

Survivors include three cousins, Monte Rann of Orlando, Fla., Byron "Pete" Rann of Olney and Jan Dennis of Champaign.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Kellie Ann King.

She enjoyed crafts, including crochet, ceramics, needlepoint and doll making. She won a blue ribbon in a crocheting competition at the 2008 Saline County Fair.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Those attending should gather at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
