George Logan Taylor

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[George Logan Taylor, 74, of 14 E. College St., Harrisburg, died 5:32 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Raleigh Masonic Cemetery with Bonnie Phillips officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are in the charge of Gaskins-Jones Funeral Home, Harrisburg.

He was born Dec. 18, 1934, in Raleigh to William and Addie (Byron) Taylor Sr. On Aug. 25, 1954, he married Georgia "Georgie" Rogers, who preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 2000.

He was Baptist by faith and retired from General Motors Electromotive Division.

He is survived by two daughters, Elane Taylor and Audrey Taylor, both of Harrisburg; a son, Joseph Taylor of Harrisburg; and a brother, William (Mary) Taylor Jr. of Raleigh.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Bond and Marie Taylor.
