Jackie Wayne Davis

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jackie Wayne Davis, 56, Tucson, Ariz., passed away at 7:30 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, in Mesa, Ariz.

He was born on Dec. 30, 1953, in Marion to the late Mont Davis Jr. and Virginia Moulton Davis.

He was a retired school teacher.

In addition to his mother, Virginia "Toots" Davis of Creal Springs, he is survived by a son, Nathan Davis of Tucson, Ariz.; daughter, Natalie Davis of Tucson, Ariz.; mother of his children, Dara Davis of Tucson, Ariz.; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Judy Davis of Creal Springs; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Mike Richey of St. Peters, Mo.; nephew, Jonathan (Melissa) Davis of Gallipolis, Ohio; two nieces, Jenny (Jared) Bergman of Vienna and Nancy (Jason) Niebrzydoski of St. Louis, Mo.; two great-nieces, Margaret Belle Davis and Madaline Elizabeth Bergman; two great-nephews, Curtner Keith Bergman and Logan Mont Davis; two aunts, Fern Hankins of Dykersburg and Ruth Moulton of Thompsonville; and several cousins, including Gloria Bradley of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mont Davis Jr.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010, at the Arnold View Baptist Church with the Rev. Ian Ryan officiating. There will be a memorial dinner served in his honor at the Arnold View Baptist Church after the service. Burial will be at a later date in Springhill Cemetery near Creal Springs.

At the request of the family, the preferred choice of remembrance is memorials to the Arnold View Baptist Church.
