</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Francis Ilene Smith, 83, of Evergreen Park, formerly of Hardin County, died 4:40 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at Holy Cross Hospice, Chicago.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church near Rosiclare with the Rev. Ignatius Okonkwo officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are in the charge of Gilbert Funeral Home.

She was married to Leon Joseph Smith. She is survived by two daughters and four grandchildren.
