</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Joyce Ann Bowers, 66, of rural Route 5, McLeansboro, died 5:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Mount Vernon.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will be in Digby Hill Cemetery, Dale. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Charles "Chick" Bowers; two daughters; two sons-in-law; a sister; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
