Peaches Geldof Found Dead at 25

Peaches Geldof, the daughter of musician Bob Geldof and actress Paula Yates, has died, according to BBC News. She was 25.

Geldof was found dead in her Wrotham, Kent home after a call was made reporting concern for Geldof's welfare. "At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden," the Kent Police said in a statement.

Remember other celebrities we've lost this year

Born Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof, the musical heiress began writing a column for Elle magazine at the age of 15. She also wrote for The Daily Telegraph and The Guardian. Geldof then embarked on a television hosting career and also did some modeling.

"Peaches has died," Bob Geldof said in a statement to BBC. "We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken."

Geldof is survived by her father, sisters Fifi Trixibelle and Pixie, half-sister Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof, husband Thomas Cohen, the lead singer of the band S.C.U.M., and their two sons, Astala and Phaedra. Her mother died of a drug overdose in 2000. Ironically herfinal tweet was an old photo of her late mom and holding her as a baby.
